    Belvern: Your story sounds so much like my husband's. Pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor, carcinoid, islet cell tumor, and non-functioning carcinoid are all names that we've heard to describe his disease.   He has a single tumor in the tail of his pancreas and tumors "too numerous to count" in his liver.       Our insurance (Security Health Plan) paid for it.  My husband has pNET with tumors in his liver.

        Hi Rob, I hope all is going well for you.  My husband was diagnosed in April 2010.  He, too, went to the ER with severe pain.  I thought it was his gallbladder as I've experienced gallbladder pain myself.  We were shocked to hear that he had lesions on his liver.  He has a single tumor on the tail of his pancreas, mets to his liver (too numerous to count), some lymph node involvement, and a ...
