Hi Melissa, yes you are way too young to have lost your grandparents and your Mom! I am so very sorry for your losses! Yes, intense grief can change you as a person, but gradually you will see most of the old you return, but not all. Because life as you knew it is different now and you need time to adjust to it. I advise finding a support group! Call your local hospice and ask if they have one. It really helps a lot,...

Your words alone are a tribute to your brother! How beautiful! I have a mental picture of him now! How nice that you were reconnected with him and grew to love him! He will be watching over you and wanting you to live, laugh, and love for him too! My prayers are with you during this terrible grieving time! Maxi

Why do people think it can never happen to them! I have routine mammograms, colonoscopys, and should have a routine body check now that I am alone! Thanks so much for the reminder!!! Maxi

Caregiving is extremely difficult. My fiance had to have a bed alarm and chair alarm because his chemo turned him into a crazy person! I kept crying and telling the nurses this was not like him! He also suffered from a fever. But in the meantime you are living this hell of seeing him like this! I'm sure it breaks your heart as it did mine while I was living that! Prayers sent your way Maxi

Oh Wildrose and Stephen, what you both said made such sense! Stephen, yes we ARE the same person, we just need a new plan for our lives. And Wildrose what you said about 2 hearts beating as one and now 1 heart beating for two is soooo true!!! This is one reason why I love this site! We get so much from one another on here! Today would have been my 31st wedding anniversary with my late husband who died 6 years ago AND...

Dear Release Me, as Wildrose said, we all grieve differently. I would assume if one were not happy with this site, they would get off it and look elsewhere. As I said before 99% of the people on here feel free "behind their computers" to express their feelings, which is so very important when you are grieving!!! Let's think positive about this wonderful site and not negative... Maxi

Hi Release Me, I haven't seen anything that bad on here in a LONG time! If this was a typical problem, I wouldn't even want to be on here! I have been on the caregiving site as well as the bone cancer site and found such wonderful people who have always been there for me! After awhile you begin to feel as though these people are your friends. I guess when it comes to  social media, there is always the possibilit...
