Hi all . . has anyone out there heard any info regarding car-t therapy (clinical trials) for MM? My first stem cell transplant in 2010 lasted 8 years, however my 2nd transplant in 2018 has only lasted 6 months.  They doctor said we should look into a clinical trial, as it looks very promising, so I just wondered if anyone else had been given info on this treatment. Thanks!

Hi there . . . I was diagnosed with MM in 2010, had dex and velcade, and then a SCT and have been in full remission since. Now that MM is back, I'm going to have 8 rounds of chemo, and the doctor told me they'll be using dex again (ugh) as well as carfilzomib and cytoxan.  I just wondered if anyone else has been on these chemo drugs, and how your side effects have been.  Dex always made me ill a few days af...

Hi there . . . I had my SCT in 2010, and have been on revlimid every since.  I don't have any side effects on the revlimid, so they've just kept me on it as it seems to be working well! I've had no increase in my m-spike for 8 years, however now it seems to be creeping up.  I just had a BM biopsy and am waiting for the results, but I'm in the middle of my "scare" right now. They took enough stem cells the f...

Hi . . .I was also diagnosed in 2010 at the age of 48 and had a stem cell transplant 9 months later. I'm now on Revlimid (10mg 21 days/7 days off) and I am working full time, feel great, am in full remission, and I have definite plans to keep going well past another 3 years.  I agree that the 3-5 year life span is well outdated. My brother knows someone who had a SCT about 15 years ago and she's still doing very...

CVS will dispense but it has to be mailed.  Their phone is 800-360-0520 and they do require that you have monthly labs done.  Are you doing that now anyway?  Mine always arrives at my door a few days before I need it, so it's super convenient. You still need to go thru the obnoxious survey, but I guess that just comes with the meds. Good luck!
