Barrelling right own on me.  1st one in 44 years without my husband.  For years I dragged him kicking and screaming into the holidays. He just wasn't into it. Until he started to turn around in the last few years.  And now here I sit without him. And it's just plain weird. And I have to carry on. Put the tree up last weekend and as we (grandchildren and I ) put the ornaments on it I realized that ...

I doubt I could have muddled through it without them.  Which makes it even worse to read of your horri...

My deepest condolences go out to you Ann. Pancreatic cancer is indeed a formidible foe and the fight is far from fair.  It took ny husband exactky 1 month ago on Oct 1. He gave it all he had for 27 months.   Watching the progression of the disease for that long was excruciatingly painful.  I wish you the comfort of good friends and loving family in the days to come.

Thank you to all of you. In your own special way you have all provided help and support over the past 27 months. When things started going downhill he wished only for a swift and as painless as possible ending. God heard him. He simply stoppd breathing. It was a peaceful ending. For him I am grateful.

Thank You for that. You verbalized alot of my feelings. It IS hard to watch someone die, especially slowly and over an extended period of time. He is in such bad shape now that I keep hoping that it doesn't last long.  He hasn't enjoyed life for a long time now.  I just pray that the end is peaceful and easy.
