Wow I thought Cancer Compass was failing me because I wasn't receiving new contributions from this thread. Would have thought there would be many questions / much enthusiasm for this dual treatment. Credentials: Metastatic melanoma stage 4 survivor & ten year veteran of Efudex...this new combo vitamin D ( Calcipotriene, Dovenex (sp? ) accelerent brings this treatment into the realm of humane!  CandyTex's tr...

Ms Elizabeth...I think you have arrived at erosion / climax stage. Your provider should have an appreciation of the suffering you're experiencing (  most of us who benefit from Efudex might go 18 - 24 days on face & up to 6 weeks on arms & legs ) and should fit you in for observation now.  If it takes a couple of days to schedule any benefit you might lose by not applying  would be miniscule. ...

Hello Dannwebb dermatologists & the dance w /  Efudex;  I think most of them have an appreciation somewhere between the directions that come w /  the tube and some pictures they've seen in a class or on the internet. One of the number of times I've administered the drug I was in clinic w /  my resident dermatologist and her superior ( sorry don't know proper name of her teacher ) came in &...

yes I appreciate that liquid nitrogen does not treat as broad an area & re: question of downunder I was thinking aloud about why efudex is used so much & remembered somehow / somewhere liquid nitrogen is considered at a much higher price point by insurance cos & patients have few other alternatives all the best w /  your treaatment

the 71 yr olde man redness leaking down :  I had maybe 8 sites on my chest where I was applying Efudex & within 10 days my whole pectoral region was ablaze & I think my doc referred to this as a symptomatic property - it would migrate to disease. Always wearing a shirt from then on my skin in that area has remained very healthy. i was just in for a liquid nitrogen session and compared to Efudex it was ...

we are talking of some extremely difficult treatments aren't we..? just my two cents in the mix & as an Efudex subject a number of times and a once tried Picato -  I just didn't think Picato held a candle to Efudex... Picato scorch much more of the surface & not of underlying "disease". Incredible to look forward to a session of liquid nitrogen in a couple weeks

Just found this site & am efudex veteran looking at another treatment session and appreciate all the forward Ho and encouragement.  Attempting to avoid using efudex again I was  hoping the rave reviews of hemp oil would provide a comfortable alternative but it has done nothing to eliminate actinic keratosis but is very fine oil. Someone recently mentioned a 2 or 3 day treatment -  I think they wer...
