About mfay1971

Caregiver
Brain Cancer
After Treatment, Chemotherapy, Emotional Support, Radiation, Spiritual Support

I am the oldest son, and part of the family caregiving team, of the most wonderful, caring, healthy, loving, creative, compassionate woman on the planet. My Mom was diagnosed with inoperable, stage 4, Glioblastoma Multiforme on January 21st, 2010. Since that day, my life has changed dramatically. My wife and I both took leaves of absences from our jobs (and our lives) to take care of Mom at our home. Along with my step father, home health care, and the rest of our family, we are all trying to do our best to take care of Mom...and find ways to deal with this tragedy ourselves. It's been a tough ride. I can deal with the day to day job of taking care of Mom, but I joined this web site to find ways to deal with it emotionally and spiritually. It's been a rough ride and I deal with it in private, for the most part. Any advice or experiences from anyone else that has been in my situation would be wonderful...and maybe I can shed some light on it for others as well.
