My husband and I thought just strep throat, ENT said same thing. Put him straight in the hospital to remove following morning....but had attached to wall of his throat as well as tonsil. If you do find it's cancer and start chemo and radiation,,..by all means get a feeding tube first so your wife can insure you get liquid nourishment as soon as needed. Praying with you.

Do get the feeding tube adap. It so helps to keep nourished and hydrated. It's what kept me alive. I had to have a bag of fluids almost every weekday as even with feeding tube it wasn't enough but using special formula cans of formula strictly for feeding tubes meant I got daily quality nourishment.

What's the average time after chemo and radiation is complete before they do a scope so we will know how effective the treatments have been. We are one month out of treatments.

I've read recently on a blog where someone over dosed on doing this too much.

My husband got dehydrated on third day after his first chemo treatment and spent two days getting Iv fluids. Now he is acting that way again. We used the tube feeder this morning for first time. He needs both calories and fluids. He seems to get sick after having glucerna drinks. Any suggestions on what I can give by tube today that he may do better with....juice ok?
