I am so sorry to hear that you lost your husband too.Try not to feel guilty about calliling Hospice Care. I too regret calling Hospice. We were only doing what we thought was right at the time. What really set my husband back was, that they upped his pain meds. He was taking liquid Morphine 20 MG's He ended up getting an infection. So,we went in to see the doctor and he upped his pain to 300 MG's a day. When the docto...

As some of you may know. My husband passed away on November 15th, 2013. Two weeks before he passed, I had finally called Hospice Care. All they did was come in and check his blood pressure and temp, 3 times a week. When I signed the contract, I was told, someone would come out twice a week and bathe him. That never happened. I was also told that I would meet the Hospice doctor. This also never happened. In the end. M...

As most of you know, besides the cancer,my husband had Traumatic Brain Injury, from a previous accident. So,since he could not understand what was going on,he would say no to everything. Doctor after doctor, told me to call Hospice. I refused, since it felt like giving up,to me. Finally, after,I took him to the last doctor, for our 3rd opinion. This doctor wanted to put my husband in the hospital, put in a feeding tube and...

Just letting everyone know that I lost Charlie at 3 a.m Friday morning. He went pretty peacefully, although could not talk at the end. And was too weak to even get up and go to the bathroom. He is in God's hands now,and no longer suffering. Thank everyone for all the support, you have given me,the past few months.

My husband has Naspharynx Cancer.Since the last time he had radiation,he has had a wound on his neck. For the past 2 days,I have not been able to get him to drink anything or urinate. I just figured out, today that it seems there is a sore in his moth also and all of the liquids he tries to drink are coming out of the sore on his neck. He is on Hospice care, now. But before he was,I told about 5 or 6 doctors and nurses...

I signed my husband up for Hospice Care, last Friday. A nurse came out to sign us up. Then a few days later,a nurse, who was going to be our Hospice Nurse came out. When she came out,I told her that his medication had not yet been delivered. She called the drug store, they said the medicine was delivered on Saturday. I never got the medicine. Fed Ex says they left it in an envelope and under my welcome mat. I have...

No. The only treatment my husband was offered, was,Palliative Radiation. He had 8 treatments of that and then I was told to call Hospice.

I am 42 ,my husband just this last Tuesday,my husband just turned 54. In June,he was diagnosed with naspharynx cancer. First we were told, the treatment for this cancer would be aggressive. When we signed up for Radiation,we were told he would have 33 treatments of Radiation. Five minutes later,it was changed to 4 treatments of Palliative Radiation. I was also told,he would have chemo. That did not happen. Now we are on Hospice Care, because I could not find a doctor to help him.
