My name is Peter. My wife Tina was diagnosed with anaplastic astrocytoma/oligodendroglioma grade 3 in January 2006 at the age of 26. She had surgery followed by radiation and chemo. In July of 2009 the tumour progressed again, requiring another surgery. In February 2010 things began getting worse and in May an MRI showed major progression again, revealing that the tumour has crossed the corpus callosum and is inoperable. Based on this behaviour they have determined that it is now GBM grade 4. Since March she has been confined mostly to a wheelchair due to poor motor function on her left side. In July she started her first Avastin treatment. We are Christians and truly believe, as hard as it is to understand, that God's hand is in this and that He will carry us through. We have 3 young children. We are thankful for every day we have on this earth, as we wait and prepare to enter God's Kingdom for eternity, where suffering will be no more. Update: My Tina went home to be with the Lord on October 30, 2010 at 11:10 am. She was 31. http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/tinadyck
