Hi Susan, sorry I haven't replied in a while. I'd still like to keep in touch if I may?  I would just like to thank you once again for all your support during the last few weeks, you've help to calm my nerves and put things in a sense of prespection.  I feel although I finally have closure for this problem finally, which is quite a relief removed from my shoulders. I'm currently having a few routine bloo...

Thanks for your reply Susan, I appreciate all your help. Today I had my appointment with Maxillo-facial, was extremely nervous before the examination. I explained I'd had jaw complaints, slightly sore throat on and off abd that my tonsil appeared different to my right....which in my opinion it does. He took a look round inside of my mouth, at both tonsil's, my tongue and under my tongue. Then he had a feel around ...

Hey everyone, thanks once again for your support. A few days now until my appointment....It's sad that this year I care more about my appointment then I do christmas.  I'd like to ask a question if I may? If the doctor believes it needed and that I have Tonsil cancer, how long would I expect to wait for a CT scan for staging?  Kind Regards, Michael

Sdurnell, I'd just like to say a massive thank you for your response and all of the responses to the thread so far. The past few weeks for me have been many ups and downs and at times It's been very hard to hope with. I'm pleased to say that I did my very best to take the advise you gave me and I'm feeling much more positive now and my over-all happiness has improved vastly.  I took a visit to my doctor the sa...

I've got my referral date although It's an entire month away, it doesn't sound although my doctor has given me an urgant referral but insted just a standard referral. Referral was made about 3 weeks ago, I'd really appreciate peoples opinions on my situation - Is there a way I can fight to have my case to have my referral made urgant? I've started getting additional symtpoms which I can only pray are results of inf...

Thank you for your reply Susan, I'm doing my best to keep a level head as best I can. I realize that I can not be sure of the situation until I see a specialist but I'm not expecting good news in all honesty. My refferal is for Maxillofacial, I can only hope that my Dr has made the proper referral because I've not got the best understanding of hopsital departments.  The waiting process is absolute torture, I'...

Hello everyone, I'll start by introducing myself. I'm Michael, I'm 26 from the UK.  I first noticed the difference in my tonsil's two month's ago after feeling sore at the back of my throat. I felt and still feel at the time like this was simply a standard sore throat, although I can't be sure. Ultimately though, this is where I was made aware of the lump.  I expressed my concerns with my doctor, who brus...
