I did a lot of apple cider vinegar foods.  Cabbage salad every day for breakfast to clean out my body. I did have chemo - FOLFOX and all the research indicates it does not help on signet ring cells.  I don't know and neither do the doctors.

I was a 3C with 17/24 positive lymph nodes. Hard to say for sure if there was any further mets in the peritoneum but I got through it.

I wanted to update my survivorship and let people here know that a Stage 3C colon cancer survivor with signet ring cell is surviving at the 6 year marker.  So much is written on SRCC that is "poor prognosis" and it is essential to post that not every case is going to be poor. Many thing play a role in survivorship as I see it: 1.  The patients general health 2. The margins at time of surgery 3. The MSI...

mptk22, You may wish to look at www.cancerresearch.org for clinical trials for various gastric immunotherapy by cancer type to see if your on track with the variety of options.  I have not taken this route at this time, but I certainly was directed to this by my oncologist (last week) in the event of recurrence. Also, I changed the ph in my system and stayed away from all junk of all kinds.  No dairy, no ...

Hi Chris, I had FOLFOX 4 1/2 years ago and had a Stage 3C signet-ring cell (aggressive) cancer in the sigmoid (also descending in case your colon geography isn't stellar). I have survived thus far without any cancer issues, but my life is compromised from the treatment to a great degree.  At 54, I cannot walk more than 1.5 miles without feeling exhausted, I am in pain in my legs, arms and upper back and I have...

Hi Sally, Signet-ring cell is poorly understood in general. There is always hope, but SRCC can be difficult. I would suggest contacting MD Anderson in Houston, TX, USA via a written query.  It is no charge and you can get some feedback.  That cancer center has the most experience with SRCC vs most other places. There is always hope.  STOP reading what they post on the internet because most informa...

I couldn't agree more.  I have all my scans done at Duke and see my specialists there as well.  It is stone cold and the fireplace in the lobby doesn't offer much warmth. It is a shame.  I am sorry for your experience.  I truly am.

Hi. I was diagnosed in February 2011 with Stage 3C metestatic cancer in the sigmoid and through the abdominal wall. I had 17/24 positive lymph nodes.  Had colon resection and FOLFOX.   I have lived with the terror of this type of cancer and can tell everyone that I was the last person I thought would still be around.  If anyone needs to communicate with me or wishes to share, please let me know. &n...
