Hi Christina, Working my way through the book for the second time. What a tremendous resource. If I found myself in need, this is where I would start. I've actually just requested my doc call in a Rx for me for dipyridamole as my fibrinogen levels are always toward the high end of the scale, despite the aspirin and supplements I take. Regarding McLelland's recommendation for metformin, I learned about this awhile ba...

Hi Christina. I have not read it but thank you for mentioning it. I just ordered it. Am listening to her interview with Chris Wark right now.

In regard to immunotherapy, I wanted to mention a few talks I’ve heard lately by Dr. William Li. The first talk is called The Science of How the Body Heals Itself with William Li, M.D.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wlJEGJvI1UA&feature=youtu.be At 56:06 minutes into the lecture, Li relates that his elderly mother was treated with immunotherapy for her metastatic endometrial cancer. She had 3 immu...

Hello Par, As your dad prepares for the possibility of immunotherapy, I wanted to mention a few talks I’ve heard lately by Dr. William Li. Hello Vince, My heart goes out to you and your wife. I’ll mention a few things here and if you’re interested in any of this I would be happy to follow up with you. Firstly, heading to MD Anderson or Sloan Kettering seems very wise at this point and I would do the same. But I would also work toward making appointments with at least one integrative oncologist, who I assure you will provide a more comprehen...

Just want to let people know that Dr. Nasha Winters of Optimal Terrain Consulting has recommended a 7 day video series, hosted by Dr. Mark Stengler, entitled Beyond Chemo: Outside-the-Box Cancer Therapies. Here's the link: https://go.beyondchemo5.org/999052 The series begins Tues at 1PM EST and each portion is accessible on-line for free for 24 hours, I believe. There is a new topic each consecutive day....

Hello, Yes, this diagnosis is a game changer. I have submitted a few posts over the past year or two regarding some of the things I have learned so I won’t use up space repeating myself. But I would like to add a few thoughts. Firstly, during times of stress and fear, I have always found it helpful to listen to or read inspiring stories by people who have struggled and endured, particularly with cancer. Two si...

Hi Robin, I'm glad you found the info useful. There's not a lot of super effective conventional medicine for most cancers. I've been amazed to learn of the many ways we can make ourselves healthier, and also the many ways that we become sick. As for my surgery, I had the bladder dome and urachus removed along with the tumor. I didn't change my diet/lifestyle till after the fact so there's nothing really to compare in...

Hi Merel, I’m sorry it has taken me so long to respond but I can briefly share some of what I have learned about diet and doctors. I was diagnosed with urachal cancer in 2014 and following surgery at UNC Chapel Hill, traveled to MD Anderson to consult with Dr. Siefker-Radtke. No chemo was recommended. I returned home and began reading and researching and transforming my life. One of the most important changes ...

Hello, I’m sorry to hear about your diagnosis. I assure you that it was also a shock to everybody on this site when we received our news, but hopefully you will take heart in the efforts and successes that people have experienced in fighting this disease. The learning curve is pretty steep once an accurate diagnosis is finally made and I wouldn’t want to jump to any conclusions about what might work best...
