Ray,  can you clarify what you mean by energy foods?  Do you mean energy drinks?

Ray, thanks a lot for that info. What is the daily dosage of aprocat pits and vitamin C.  If you have specific brand you are using, please let me know.   I have a hard time getting my dad to take the apricot pits, so I give him a couple D17 pills instead. Right now, I have my dad on 4 or 5 things at the same time (cellect, budwig, barley/wheat juice extract, pancreatic enzymes, and a little bit of D17). &...

BTW, the one giving that feedback was nurse for Dr Robert Martin.  She recommended us to gowith chemo using palliative dosage (~50%); similar feedback to Stanford.

Do people feel for Pancreatic Cancer (PC), the side effect of radiation is worse than chemo? My 88 yr old dad has stage IV PC.  He didn't want chemo and started radiation instead.  After 2 sessions, he immediated started throwing up and diaherria after each session.   One doctor's office told us, for PC they feel chemo's side effect (gemzar + abrazane) is less than radiation.   Wanted t...

Hi, Hope things went well for your dad.    My dad, 88, is in the same predicament with PC, confirmed last week.  We have appointment with UC Irvine for consultation for Nanoknife as well.  Did your dad eventually get accepted at UC Irvine for Nanoknife?   How did it go?  Is doctor Imagawa at UC Irvine pretty good?

Thanks a ton.  Great suggestions.  In fact, I'm doing the exact thing, and have a packet that can be faxed or a set of PDF to be sent out.    I had sent out to Dr Martin today.  Hope to hear from him soon.    I'll search out the links.

Thanks for your help.  My dad is very averse to chemo at this point; as he aged,  he's become increasinly intolerant of changes (eg can't tolerate when it a bit too hot, or a bit too cold, ... etc).  The doctor indicated a certain dosage but said it will only extend his life a few month and he has less than 1 year, even if he does chemo and radiation.  With that, I am not sure I should even been p...

Roger, Thanks a much for your reply.   Your mom is such an warrior!! My best wishes. We were also offered Xeloda + Radiation, but my dad only took the later.  If you don't mind me asking, what doage of Xeloda were your mom taking?  and how long? Regarding bitter melon, do you feel either pill or fresh juice would be fine?   I think I would have a hard time getting my dad to take the j...

PhilipJax,   Thanks so much for your info.  Some of these links doesn't seem to work for me.  Do you mind providing again? My dad was recently diagnosed with inoperable stage III or IV pancreas cancer around ciliac artery + tail of pancrease.   After consult with Stanford, there is suspicion that it's gone to liver but not confirmed.  He's old (88 yrs) and does not want chemo. ...

I was wondering if anyone had positive experience with any specific alternative treatment or dietary supplement,  particularly one that worked well against pancreatic cancer?A couple weeks ago, my 88 year old dad was diagnosed with stage 3 inoperable pancreatic cancer (adenocarcinoma), with a tumor wrapped around ciliac artery.   We talked to our oncologist and got a second opinion at Stanford. &n...
