I, too have severe gas after my reversal surgery, and I mean severe! If it is sugar what do you do to stop it? Isn't sugar in everything that you eat now? I am six months out from my reversal and seem to be getting worse instead of better. I have already cut out eggs and dairy products and have had no relief so my next guess is the sugar. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know.

I was diagnosed with stage 2 rectal cancer on MAy 17th 2013. Had lower resection surgery in October 2013. I did 28 radiation treatments and 16 chemo therapy treatments pre-op and 16 chemo treatments post op. Had ileostomy for one year and it was reversed September 2nd, 2014. Since then I have been trying to adjust to a new diet and getting used to a new bathroom schedule. Although I am cancer free right now I just can't get past the fact of a recurance that could pop up anytime.
