    Hi? I had what tbey call a bland embolisatikn ie thefe was no  he.o involved they just blocked off the hepatic artery. Whikst it was horribke fkr two weeks after well eorth it in the long run as one tumour disappeared and the other shrank so much it was barely traceable. Sorry to hear it was not so succesful for.your sister hope you find something that works for you

        Im no expert but Im with you , I have gallstones some fairly large apparently but Im fine also there are natural ways of getting rid of them   Ive just tried the copious amounts of apple juice, google it, waiting for my next scan see if it worked. ...dont want a glass of apple juice for a while ?? plus I tend to be of the opinion of staying well away from any surgery unless absolutely necessary!   Good luck...

          Thankyou chemo embolisation, tube into hapatic vein in liver then chemo  harged beads into tumours and then they close off hepatic vein in the liver, doesnt take more than a couple of hours but like you said the after effects make it not worth jt at all.

            Its been a month nearly since I had chemo embolisation on my liver and Im still in pain and on pain meds, has anyone else been through this? My doctor did an ultra sound didnt find anything but he is unfamiliar with the procedure anyway, the specialist is trying to get me in for an MRI asapp but am still waiting and worrying as to why this is still so painful?! and I feel nauseous all the time. Cant find anything on ...

              The doctors said it was a simple procedure! That was two weeks ago and two visits to emergency later. The pain a day after the procedure had me vomiting and I had severe diarrhea rushed to emergency given morphine and eventuall after checking my gall bladder was ok, I was sent home with hydromorphone, take every 4hrs, I lasted 3. Things were going ok came off the painkillers by the Wednesday just took some extra stre...

                I have just completed my fourth treatment of Lutetiium PRRT and I have to tell you I feel so much better I didnt realise how awful I felt until I didnt feel like that aymore! Ive got my life back I found myself running the other day and no pain it was brilliant. I dont get up feeling nausious or tired no pains no flushing. So just had to let people know, it is such a relief in so many ways to find something that work...

                  Hi Ian you need an Octreotide scan as CTs or MRIs dont always show anything as you have probably read bloodwork and urine samples are also often inconclusive, myself for example my bloodwork is fine so as far as GP is concerned Im fine and doing really well ! The initial CTS and MRIs they did 5 years ago showed nothing and they only found the tumour in my lower intestines by accident when they did a laperoscopy looki...

                      keep on them the doctors that is find a specialist who understands this specofoc cancer. When this all began for me they found my initial tumour by accident, thought it was an appendicitus but CT MRI showed nothing sp the surgeon decided to do a laperoscopy I went into surgery expecting to wake up with a small hole in my tummy several hours later the scar was 4 inches and they had removed 10 inches of bowel my append...
