    I am a 47 year old female and I was just diagnosed with Stage IV Squamous Cell Carcinoma in my voice box and lymp nodes.  My first option was surgery, where they remove my voice box including vocal cords and I would never speak again and I just wasn't ready for that, so we are going with radiation and chemo.  I go in for fitting of my mask for radiation on the 12th and on the 13th, I will be admitted to the...

      I go for mine on the 12th and I am scared the same will happen to me too.  I pray it gets easier for you.  I just don't think I can stand that on my face and be able to breathe.  Please pray for me as well.  Wish I could help you.

        I was just diagnosed with throat cancer and I have to start radiation and chemo and people keep refering to radiation as cooking.  It that what it does?  Cooks you!!  I've heard that and I am terrified.  Is there anything good about it, besides getting rid of the tumors?  Thanks and God bless you.

          I was just diagnosed with Saquamous Cell Carcinoma on my voice box, and lymp nodes in my neck and chest.  I am a single mother with two daughters, 11 and 16,  I am terrified!  I think I am supposed to start radiation and chemotherapy this week.  He said it's going to be a long, hard road and it was going to kick my butt.  He first wanted to do surgery, and if he did, I would never talk again ...
