hi Mike, your poswt brings back memories. I was a hard core triathlete before cancer. I was 100% suprized how much it knocked me down. For months after treatment I was as weak as a kitten, very frustrating. Walking was an issue, 1/4 mile would absolutly kick my a%$. After 5 months or so I slowly got back to exercise, and every month i would get stronger. I can not say if I ever fully got back to where I was, I did g...

Long story, but my neck was so weakened by the radiation i had pain/strenght problems. A PT suggested neck exercises. . After a while I bought the harness. It goes over my head and I attach weights to it. Then, I just do left/right front back moves. After about 6 months I was able to eat a bit easier but mostly stopped the 8 on 10 pain. Really good!

I do continue to have eating issues. I can not swallow a pea with out a slug of fluid, in face, I can eat most anything as long as it is a small bite and a slug of fluid ( IPA beer works best) I have a couple of dilutions a year but mostly I just have to eat slo...

Thanks so much. Actually my GI found a colleague in a nearby hospital who willdo it. A bit more complicates and they will put me under for the dilation. I have had several over the last 7 years, i guess I better get it done more often!!!! And yes, my voice is always changing from sounding like a mafia hit man to a talking frog. I will post the results, thanks again Steve

well all I can say it was a long road back for me. Eating, drinking and neck pain has persisted for years. Although I am as active as I was ever, possible a bit stronger. I am pretty dedicated to working out, eating wekll and living my life to the fullest.. It did take 6 8 months for saliva to come back. I ran.road with a camel back. Now I just have to carry some fluid. Just takes time and work, day by day
