      So sorry your husband is having a tough start. I really did not have problems till half way. But everyone is different. Guess the peg tube is this best thing as it will keep him stringer all the best to you guys will keep you all in my thoughts Bob

        That's what's it's all about. We help each other. By giving advise or support or anything because we all know that feeling when they tell you that you have cancer. And you don't know nothing about it but you want to find out everything immediately. And you thinking the worse about everything hang in there Ron and it's great you are helping someone already.           I like this post. It goes to show how life goes on and we can sit on the bench or stay in the game. The first thing I thought to my self was how am I gonna work. What am I gonna do. My mind was all over the place. But it settles in and you live life one day at a time. Life did take on a new meaning too. I did not stress over small stuff anymore.             Ron like pop pop said hang in there it is tough I have the same as you. Had 28 radition treatment. And it gets tough around half way. But you will get threw it. I had cancer of the glottis on the vocal cord. I did lose my voice totally after treatment was over for 2 weeks. Do not drink cold or hot liquids and eat real non chewy foods like mashed potatoes ,eggs. And such. I will be rooting for you so keep strong and...

              Stan hope you are calming down. I know it's hard to do. I was told at the age of 53 with a 14 yr old son a d my head was racing. As I sure yours was. Listen to the docs and stay on this furum it will get you threw some tough times. And for sure ask and you will get your answer by I am sure several people. They as I walked the walk.                       Heather I know it's tough on you but it will go fast. Your dad should be on the furum himself to insure him as he can read for himself he will get threw this. One day at a time. If you show him some of the stories and how people dealt with this it may give him more strength and hope. It is tough but he will do it as for the feeding tube best thing for people with this treatment. I wish him the best and all the best...
